Evolving Creatives was set up by Black Studies tutor and artist Danny Thompson, who has devised and run African Studies presentations and workshops for schools, home studies, supplementary schools, and other community organisations.
I formed Evolving Creatives as a vehicle for creating community learning resources in different formats. Our ethos is ‘Evolving creatively through Art & Education.
This ethos is demonstrated in our two major works: ‘The Afrikan Literary Heritage, History & Activity book’, and ‘Everyday Life in an Early West African Empire’, an educational Dvd in collaboration with UK Scholar and Teacher Robin Walker.
As an Artist, Danny performs under the pseudonym ‘BassOratory’, a unique combination of Spoken Word & Double Bass. He’s also an experienced Teacher of Music to all ages in schools and community organisations.
Danny is a resident Black Studies tutor at:
Croydon Supplementary Education Project (CSEP)
